Artificial Lawn

This is a 32mm length artificial grass that had to be cut to an irregular shaped lawn area. Originally the existing lawn had suffered because there was not a great deal of light entering the garden, so the grass could not grow enough to cope with the general wear and tear it was receiving on a daily basis.

The original lawn was first removed. A laying of fine gravel is levelled and edging surround then installed. The gravel has to be compacted before a weed membrane is laid. Finally the artificial lawn will be rolled out and cut to shape.

Artificial lawns are not everybodies favourite but they are very practical in small gardens where wear and tear is concentrated and light levels may not be high enough for natural lawn growth.

The drainage is very good on artificial lawns and they are rugged and very easily cleaned. They can be very lush and soft to sit and lie on.
